Self-criticism
Taimur Khan
Many times the argument also shrinks under the pressure of irrationality. Humans are complex creatures of wonder. His aim is always to defeat the opponent. He must prove himself as a leader and violate or deny any honest matter. So it is as if he is applying an argument against the argument.
People say ‘there is a law, there is a gap in the law.’ This gap or perforation can be called a primitive addiction. Many people cannot get out of this addiction.
The question may come to us about what are the characteristics of the best people in the world.
Analyzing the answers of many scholars among the many features, I have found only one answer to be more acceptable. And that is, the man who is self-critical, he is the best man in the world. Amit Abraham (born September 7, 1985) is an Indian academic, author, scholar, and psychologist.
“The best criticism is self-criticism — it is constructive and helps you improvise.” That is, the best criticism is self-criticism — it is constructive and will help you to improve.
But how many of us can be self-critical? We are busy looking for the faults of others, we do not have time to judge our own faults. Poet Nazrul says:
“Measure the sins of others with the weight of one’s own sins.”
Can’t we try to criticize ourselves?
Once in my student life, I met the literary Sandeepan Chatterjee. I asked him: What is the first condition to become a poet?
The questions he asked and the answers I gave are as follows:
Do you love it?
- Yes, I did.
- Is there still love or gone?
- Gone, that means I have failed.
Then you have advanced on the first condition.
What is the second condition?
— Whose poems do you read?
Shakti, Sunil, Joy, Al Mahmud, Shankha, Shamsur and many more.
— Parel Yeats, Elliott, Camus, Rhino, Whitman.
What is the third condition?
How many times have you written a poem and torn it?
- Not once.
You lost here. Leave the illusion of writing and tear it again and again. Rewrite again. Tear it up again. This process will continue. criticize your own writing. Then, let the poem be printed after a long time. There is no good in trying to express it in writing.
My first steps about poetry and my self-confidence started that day. Today I can tell if he was right. I understand that self-criticism is the first step in every industry. Now Martin Luther King’s words come to mind again and again:
“It is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of high maturity, to rise to the level of self-criticism.”
That is, the level of self-criticism is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of high maturity. Are we avoiding this episode of self-criticism because of stubbornness or arrogance?
